How billing works
Billed on four real things. Every one has a receipt.
Your bill is a company platform fee, plus seats, plus any signal or storage overage. All of it is metered live in Settings → Plan & usage, with the same receipt discipline as the rest of Vernais: the number you’re charged on is the number you can inspect.
Platform fee
One company-level fee by tier. Pricing is announced soon, and Enterprise is priced to your scale. It sets your seat limit, included signals and storage, SLA, and support. Annual prepay saves 15%.
Seats
One Max seat is included. Add Max seats (full AI) or Power seats (no AI) up to your tier’s limit. You’re only billed for the seats you assign.
Signals
Clean, deduped records in your Company Brain, counted in millions. Included budgets run 10M to 2,000M a month. Overage bills per million and gets cheaper as you scale; Enterprise overage is set in your contract.
Storage
A metadata-only file registry: pointers and previews, never your raw bytes. Included 250 GB to 4,000 GB. Overage rates are announced soon; on Build and Enterprise they are set in your contract.

What is a signal?
A signal is one clean, deduped record: the atomic unit of evidence in your Company Brain. One Jira issue, one Stripe charge, one Slack message, after Vernais removes duplicates and resolves entities. Because your budget counts survivors, not raw payloads, you’re never charged for the same thing twice. Budgets are measured in millions per month: 10M on Starter up to 2,000M on Enterprise.
What’s the difference between a Max seat and a Power seat?
Both get the full platform: the Company Brain, Graph Explorer, Codex, Wire, Beam, Forge, Reports, and Launches. A Max seat adds the AI: the Investigator for plain-English questions, AI-generated insights from your Brain, and AI-drafted initiatives. A Power seat has everything except that AI layer. Every plan includes one Max seat, and you can mix the two however your team works.
What happens if I go over my signal or storage limit?
Nothing breaks and nothing meters silently. Overage bills on the same live meter you watch in Settings → Plan & usage. Signals bill per million and get cheaper as you scale. Rates are announced soon; on Build and Enterprise they are set in your contract. If it’s cheaper to move up a tier, we’ll tell you.
Do you offer annual or multi-year discounts?
Yes. Annual prepay saves 15% on every tier. Build and Enterprise add a further 20% off on a two-year term. Enterprise terms, including any add-ons, are scoped and priced individually. Talk to sales and we’ll put the exact numbers in writing.
Is my data isolated?
Yes, completely. Each workspace runs on its own pair of databases. There is no per-row sharing between workspaces, and membership is re-checked on every request. Your data lives in your workspace and nowhere else.
Do you train on my data, or invent answers from it?
No. Vernais never trains on your data, and it never invents. The graph stores only grounded facts with a source span, a signal ID, a confidence score, and which check passed. Causality is derived fresh at query time. Every number returns its exact filter recipe and the query that produced it. If there’s no evidence, Vernais says “I don’t know.”
Can I self-host, or get enterprise terms?
Yes. Enterprise includes self-host options, SSO/SCIM, a 99.9%+ SLA with credits, 24/7 support, and a TAM. It also raises your signal and storage budgets, adds audit exports, and puts terms in writing. Talk to sales and we’ll scope it, and price it, to your org.
